A member of the Dubai royal family in the Middle East, Sheikh Ali Rashed Ali Saeed Al Maktoum (Prince Ali), originally prepared to open a family office in Hong Kong to manage funds of about 500 million US dollars. However, the relevant launching ceremony suddenly stopped the night before it was held. The family office previously issued a statement saying that due to urgent and unexpected private matters, the launching ceremony of the Hong Kong family office was postponed to the end of May this year, and Al Maktoum would visit Hong Kong again at that time.
However, the latest display shows that the website of Prince Ali’s family office can no longer be connected, and the website displays “This domain seems not to have connected to the website yet.” And his LinkedIn social account no longer exists.
According to the online media “Hong Kong 01” reported yesterday, the Hang Seng University originally appointed Prince Ali as an honorary professor and signed a cooperation memorandum. However, after the postponement of the opening ceremony of the family office, Hang Seng University deleted the matter related to the appointment and signing of the cooperation memorandum in the press release on March 26; and the official website of Hang Seng University shows that the school currently has 4 honorary professors, but not including Prince Ali.
