Airbus Canadian workers once again reject the employer’s pay raise proposal and face a strike.

Workers at the assembly plant of European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, which produces the Airbus 220 model aircraft in Canada, rejected the employer’s second pay raise proposal. This means that there may still be a strike scene in Airbus’ local production department.

The union representing the 1,300 workers said that after 99% of the workers involved in this negotiation voted, they rejected the relevant pay raise proposal. Both labor and management will meet again on Monday to discuss the matter. Airbus reiterated that it will seek to reach an agreement with the workers.

Due to the labor-management negotiations and tight supply chains, the process of producing the Airbus 220 aircraft has been blocked, and the production speed has slowed down, making the financial situation of the production department, which was already facing losses, even more tense.
